Chinese Airlines’ Profit Down 50% (Chart)

China Eastern Airlines, China’s second-largest carrier by passengers carried, has forecast a 50% drop in its first-half profits due to higher fuel costs and weaker market demand.

China Southern Airlines, the country’s largest carrier, also predicted a sharp first-half profit decline, for similar reasons.
